IND vs NZ: Out of the world! Ish Sodhi takes one-handed stunner to dismiss Rohit Sharma – Watch video

New Zealand is one of the best fielding sides in the world at current times and glimpses of it were seen in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2021. Continuing the trend, New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi on Sunday took an out-of-the-world one-handed stunner to dismiss Rohit Sharma in the third and final T20I here at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

India’s newly appointed T20I skipper Rohit Sharma was batting well on 56 when Kiwi leg spinner Ish Sodhi displayed his superb reflexes to get rid of him. Coming to bowl the 12th over, Sodhi tossed the ball a bit wider from Rohit who was coming down the crease to whack it. However, Rohit got it off from the bottom of the bat and thus couldn’t generate enough power as the ball flies to the right of Sodhi who sticks his hand out and plucks it in the air. Rohit cannot believe it but he has to walk back.

Coming back to the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first to test India’s batting in tough conditions in the final T20I at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Men in Blue have posted a competitive total of 184/7 on the back of Rohit Sharma’s fifty and vital cameos from Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, and Deepak Chahar at the end.

India have made two changes. Ashwin and KL Rahul sit out, Ishan Kishan and Yuzvendra Chahal return to Playing XI. For New Zealand, captain for the first two T20Is, Tim Southee is rested while Lockie Ferguson returns from injury.
