India’s ace tennis star Sania Mirza has reportedly joined husband Shoaib Malik in a bio-secure bubble. According to a report by GEO News, Sania will be staying at Pakistan team hotel along with the couple’s son Izhaan. She completed her mandatory quarantine in Dubai before re-uniting with the former Pakistan Captain. India is scheduled to play Pakistan on Sunday and Sania will again be in a difficult position on who to support during the match
As per ICC protocol, families are allowed to stay with the team in a T20 World Cup bio-secure bubble. A number of Pakistan cricketers are accompanying their families, including Imad Wasim, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Muhammad Hafeez and Hasan Ali, among others.
Some of the Indian cricketers like captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, R. Ashwin are also accompanied by their families during the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza has decided to skip social media on October 24. India will face Pakistan in a highly-anticipated match on their league stage on Sunday. Taking to Instagram, Sania Mirza uploaded a video with the text, “Me disappearing from social media and toxicity on India vs Pakistan match day.”
Over the years, Sania Mirza has been subject to criticism regardless of India or Pakistan’s victory.
