IPL 2021: Amit Mishra sweats it out in DC’s training session, ready to take over Lasith Malinga as IPL’s all-time highest-wicket taker in UAE

Delhi Capitals’ ace spinner Amit Mishra has started working out in the UAE after completing 6 days quarantine. He can be seen giving it all in the gym and training sessions. The 38-year-old is on verge of scripting history in the IPL 2021 Phase 2. He can go on to become the highest wicket-taker in IPL history by breaking the previous record held by Sri Lanka & IPL legend Lasith Malinga.

Earlier, Mishra was seen lifting heavyweights in the first gym session for Delhi Capitals in UAE. He is aiming to ace fitness ahead of the remaining fixtures in IPL 2021.

Amit Mishra needs 5 wickets to pip Malinga. The latter had taken 170 wickets in his IPL career including a number of IPL titles at Mumbai Indians. Mishra has taken 166 wickets in 154 matches in IPL. He has taken as many as three hat-tricks in the Indian Premier League- most by a bowler. He bowls at an impressive economy rate of 7.35 rpo. The legspinner had taken 6 wickets (4 matches) during the India leg of IPL 2021. Amit Mishra remains a vital cog in the Delhi Capitals’ machinery.
