Not only Dhoni and company are training hard in UAE, their foreign recruits Imran Tahir, Faf Du Plessis, Moeen Ali all are performing exceptionally well in whichever part of the world they are playing.

Imran Tahir is approaching the fag end of his career but the South African veteran continues to be among the best in the business as witnessed by his latest exploits in T20 franchise cricket. Tahir, who will join up with the CSK for IPL 2021 Phase 2, has been in some form, picking up wickets consistently at the Hundred and now in the ongoing CPL 2021. Tahir’s form bodes well for the MS Dhoni-led side, as spin could be a huge factor with a return to the UAE.

Imran Tahir featured only in one of CSK’s seven games during Phase 1, but his recent form will make it difficult to keep the veteran leggie out of the playing XI. Tahir was at the centre stage yet again, as he clinched an impressive three-wicket haul, to help Guyana Amazon Warriors bowl out the Barbados Royals for just 130 in the ongoing CPL 2021.

The Warriors eventually clinched a nine-wicket win and boosted their net run-rate significantly, with Tahir being one of the key perpetrators for the Nicholas Pooran led side to be in contention for the playoffs.

mran Tahir has picked up nine wickets in six CPL 2021 games so far and is fourth on the list of leading wicket-takers. Not only has the South African veteran picked up wickets, but he has also kept things tight, conceding at just six per over. Before taking the CPL by storm, Tahir performed well at The Hundred, as he turned out for the Birmingham Phoenix. Tahir picked up 10 wickets in nine games, at an economy of 8.44, as Phoenix reached the final.

Imran Tahir has been a consistent performer for CSK as well and has done well whenever presented with the opportunity. The veteran won the purple cap in 2019 when CSK reached the IPL final, losing out to the Mumbai Indians. With pitches in the UAE expected to assist turn, Tahir could very well return to the mix, as MS Dhoni and Co. aim to lift the tropy for the fourth time in history.
CSK opener Faf Du Plessis also played great hand playing in CPL 2021. Du Plessis returned unbeaten 120 off just 60 balls for St Lucia Kings also augur well for CSK.
On the other hand – Moeen Khan who is currently playing against Indian in test series for England has also shown some form both with bat and ball. Overall – be ready for big fireworks from CSK in IPL 2021 in UAE.
