IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals stars Shreyas Iyer, Amit Mishra begin hustle in first gym session in UAE- See pics

DC players have begun their practice ahead of IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE. In a series of images shared by Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer, Amit Mishra and other players were seen sweating it out in the first Gym session. The players had reached the Gulf country on August 21 and have completed their mandatory 6 days quarantine. They are staying at the 5 star hotel- Sofitel Dubai The Palm.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer has started his preparations for the upcoming IPL 2021 after an injury layoff. Iyer, who dislocated his shoulder during the ODI series against England in March while fielding, is back to full fitness and is in Dubai for the upcoming IPL 2021. Iyer is expected to emulate his sensation form in UAE during IPL 2020 last year. He had slammed 519 runs at an average of 34+ to guide Delhi Capitals in the finals.

IPL Most wickets: Amit Mishra on cusp of IPL history

DC’s ace spinner Amit Mishra is one the verge of becoming the highest wicket-taker in IPL. He needs five wickets in the remaining fixtures to overtake Lasith Malinga and register his name in place of history. He is expected to play a crucial role as DC look to complete their unfinished business in IPL last edition by winning the maiden title.
