Kaviya Maran has been a staple at Sunrisers Hyderabad games this season and she once again grabbed the attention of viewers. The SRH co-owner was spotted in the stands as the 2016 champions faced off against the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. However, it was yet another uneventful day for her, as Sunrisers slipped to their seventh defeat in eight games in IPL 2021.
Kaviya Maran again became a huge talking point during the game between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. The SRH co-owner watched on from the stands as the Capitals led by Rishabh Pant clinched the two points, almost ending any hopes Sunrisers had of reaching the playoffs. Netizens went gaga over her appearance, with many claiming that they tuned into the match to watch a glimpse of her on camera.

Kaviya Maran is the daughter of SRH owner Kalanithi Maran. The 29-year-old is a co-owner of the franchise and is involved with Sun Music and FM channels of Sun TV. Kalanithi is the son of the former Union Minister of India Murasoli Maran and grand-nephew of former Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi. He is the chairman and founder of the Sun TV Group and has a stake in TV channels, newspapers, weeklies, FM Radio stations, DTH services and a movie production house.
The ongoing season has been Sunriusers worst so far in their history, with just one win in eight games so far. With 6 more games left in the league stage of the tournament, Hyderabad needs to start a lengthy winning run if they are to finish in the top four.
