IPL 2021: Good news for IPL points table leader Delhi Capitals, Avesh Khan fit for IPL in UAE

Delhi Capitals would be breathing some sense of relief as their ace pacer Avesh Khan has left India for UAE for the second leg of IPL 2021. The right arm DC pacer has recovered from his thumb injury (fracture) and is all set to join the blue brigade in UAE.

The 24-year old lent crucial hands to Delhi Capitals who returned as points table toppers before the tournament was abruptly called off in May. The lanky pacer has picked 14 wickets in eight matches and returned with an economy of 7.70 in the first leg of the cash-rich league.

IPL 2021: The tall right-armer from Madhya Pradesh suffered an injury to his left thumb during the warm-up for a County Select XI against the touring Indians currently in England. He had accompanied the Indian team in England as a support bowler. However, after the injury, he had to return to India.

After undergoing rehab at National Cricket Academy and returning optimally fit from the niggle, Khan is set to join his team in UAE.
