Kyle Jamieson hogged the limelight during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) defeat against the Kolkata Knight Riders – but not for his on-field exploits. The Virat Kohli-led team were bowled out for a paltry 92 before KKR eased through the chase with 10 overs to spare. Amid all the chaos, Jamieson was caught on camera smiling being little flirty with RCB massage therapist Navnita Gautam, an image that went viral on social media.
Kyle Jamieson was seen padded up in the 10th over of the RCB innings when the cameraman caught him smiling at RCB massage therapist Navnita Gautam. Netizens took to the task and hilariously shared the picture with witty memes as the image did the rounds on social media. The reactions varied from ‘men will be men’ to Jamieson ‘playing his own match’ to ‘team at 53/4, but Jamieson kept himself busy’.

As the image went viral, fans have been curious to know all about Navnita Gautam since the incident. The 29-year-old joined RCB as a massage therapist in 2019 and was then the first and only female to be a part of the support staff of any of the 8 IPL teams. As per reports, Gautam’s role was to mandate and implement massage therapy to help the team and recover better before and during the season.
A seasoned campaigner, Navnita, who hails from Vancouver, Canada, had worked with the Toronto Nationals team in the Global T20 Canada.
She has also served as a support staff member for the Indian Women’s Basketball Team during their Asia Cup campaign. When quizzed about breaking gender stereotypes and working in a male-dominated field, Gautam told ESPNCricinfo, “Absolutely not. It’s like having 20 brothers around at all times. Slowly but surely, the transition is happening. I believe that as long as the players and support staff trust your work, gender shouldn’t be an issue as we are all healthcare professionals.”
