India and CSK cricketer Deepak Chahar on Thursday stunned everyone with a live proposal to his girlfriend during the match between CSK and PBKS in UAE. He went to the sidelines and reached out to her girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj and she said yes. A number of celebrities have been pouring in their wishes since the special act got viral on the Internet.
CSK might have lost the match but Chahar made sure the MS Dhoni-led side had something to cheer about as the bowler proposed to his girlfriend post the completion of the match. Chahar’s girlfriend instantly said ‘YES’ and the couple shared a hug as everyone congratulated the duo.
“She said yesssss. Congratulations Cherry.! Stay Merry.!” CSK tweeted while sharing the video.
As per reports, Jaya is the sister of actor Sidharth Bharadwaj—Bigg Boss 5 and Splistvilla contestant. But, she stays away from the limelight to the extent that her Instagram profile is private.
Deepak Chahar’s sister Malti Chahar shared a special post for her brother and confirmed the name of the girl is Jaya Bharadwaj and she hails from Delhi.
“And my brother is taken❤️💍 Lo mil gayi bhabhi😁. She is Jaya Bharadwaj and she isn’t a foreigner…Delhi Ki ladki h. God bless you both,” she said in a tweet.
Deepak Chahar is expected to tie the knot later this year. He will join the long list of cricketers who recently got married– Yuzvendra Chahal- Dhanashree Verma, Hardik Pandya– Natasha Stankovic and Jasprit Bumrah– Sanjana Ganeshan.
