Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli on Sunday completed 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. He achieved the landmark by going past 13 runs against Mumbai Indians in a crucial fixture for RCB. He is only the fifth player to achieve the landmark. The 32-year-old joins Punjab Kings opener Chris Gayle, MI allrounder Kieron Pollard, Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik and SRH’s David Warner on the elite list. Kohli achieved the special feat by smashing a six off MI pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. He has already completed 10,000+ runs in ODI cricket.
Kohli went on to smash a fifty against MI off 40 balls. His innings comprised 3 sixes and an equal number of fours. He also shared fifty partnerships with Srikar Bharat and Glenn Maxwell for 2nd and 3rd wickets respectively.
