Virat Kohli & Co registered a thumping 8 wickets win over Scotland on Friday in the Group 2 match of Super 12 stage of the ongoing ICC men’s T20 World Cup here at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Virat Kohli and Co. now have the best run rate in Group 2 and have climbed to the 3rd spot after managing to topple Afghanistan’s NRR.
After bowling out Scotland for a mere total of 85 runs, India needed to chase down the target in 7.1 overs to surpass Afghanistan in NRR. In reply, Virat Kohli & Co. chased down the target in 6.3 overs with KL Rahul hitting the fastest fifty of the tournament off just 18 balls. Ravindra Jadeja and M Shami were the stars with the ball as they returned with 3 wickets each in the victory.

Earlier, Yuzvendra Chahal was the leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is with 63 wickets in 49 innings.
