All you need to know about Ruth Strauss Foundation: India and England players are featuring in the red caps on Day’s 2 play of the ongoing second against England at Lord’s. The special gesture to wear the red caps is aimed to raise funds for the ‘Red for Ruth’ foundation. The foundation was started by former England skipper Andrew Strauss in the loving memory of his wife Ruth Strauss, who died in December 2018 due to incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers.

Ruth desperately wanted to help those affected by this terrible disease and she had a very strong sense of charity – in the broadest sense – of helping others less fortunate than ourselves,” mentions the official website of Red for Ruth.In order to raise awareness regarding the same, players, cricket spectators and the commentary panel (Sky Sports) at Lord’s are weaning red on Friday.
